Working with Celebrity Top Chef Kristen Kish and Upwork
Embracing Creative Identity:
The Making of It’s All in the Sauce"
I had the privileged of working with Celebrity Top Chef Kristen Kish. In 2013, Kristen Kish became the first woman of color to win Bravo's "Top Chef" during the show's 10th season. I was chosen to be the illustrator for her guided culinary journal for kids.
Here is the story in how I was chosen.
Acclaimed chef, author, and TV personality Kristen Kish is on a mission to help kids go on the journey of self-discovery, using the medium that was so essential to her own path: cooking.
Through Upwork CoLab, she’s partnered with an experienced writer, illustrator, and integrated marketer to create a unique, guided culinary journal for kids, featuring cooking experiments to encourage self-expression and self-reflection through the art (and play) of cooking.
